Is the whole D8WP waterproof?
Med-Pat describes the cabinet as water resistant and the oversized keypad as waterproof. Covered cord connections provide additional protection. These features do not establish an underwater-use or submersion rating; use and clean the phone according to the supplied instructions.
Can I use it near a pool, hot tub, or spa?
It can be considered for an appropriately installed calling point near these areas. Confirm the location, telephone connection, and installation requirements before use. Keep it out of the water and follow the supplied installation instructions.
What telephone service does it need?
The D8WP requires compatible analog telephone service. A cable voice modem, VoIP adapter, or business phone system must supply a compatible analog telephone port. It does not connect directly to Ethernet as a SIP phone.
How do I adjust the handset volume?
Use the electronic push-button volume control to select one of three listening levels. Handset volume is separate from the Normal/High ringer setting.
