No. The FIRST M is landline-powered and draws its power directly from the telephone line. This ensures the phone remains operational even during a power outage, provided the phone line is active. Can I re-program the M1 button? Yes. While the M1 button comes pre-programmed to dial 911 for immediate use, it can be reprogrammed to dial any number you choose, such as an internal security desk or private emergency line.
