Who wears the receiver and who wears the call button?
The caregiver wears the touchscreen receiver. The person receiving care wears the call button and presses it when they need assistance. The two wrist devices have different roles.
Does CARE-4 need Wi-Fi, an app, or a monthly subscription?
No. CARE-4 uses direct wireless communication between its components. It does not require Wi-Fi, a smartphone app, or a monthly monitoring subscription.
Does CARE-4 call 911 or a monitoring center?
No. CARE-4 sends local alerts to the caregiver's receivers. A caregiver must respond and arrange any further assistance. It does not provide a monitored emergency-response service.
How does the door sensor help with caregiver supervision?
The magnetic sensor sends an alert when the monitored door or window is opened. It helps a nearby caregiver notice an opening; it does not lock the door, track a person's location, or prevent an exit.
Can the call button be submerged in water?
No. The call button's IP65 rating covers protection against dust and water jets, not immersion. Do not submerge it in a bath or pool. Follow the included instructions for use around water.
How do I charge the wearable receiver?
The caregiver's wrist receiver has a rechargeable battery. Charge it with the included USB charging cable following the user manual, and check its battery level regularly. The plug-in receiver uses an electrical outlet.
Will the system work throughout my home?
Wireless coverage depends on distance, walls, building materials, and placement. Test the call button and door sensor from the rooms where they will be used, with the caregiver wearing the receiver. Keep the receiver charged and the plug-in receiver powered.
